Justin BieberJustin Bieber has been reprimanded by his record company over his recent behavior.

The "Baby" hitmaker was subjected to a 20-minute Skype chat with his label bosses following his performance at The O2 arena in London on Monday, which saw him take to the stage two hours late. And the discussion also saw the 19-year-old singer warned to curb his partying ways and "stay in more."

"Being amidst a barrage of abuse is uncharted territory for Justin. Understandably he is finding it hard to take ... His erratic behavior and antics are not what his young fans expect of him. After an emergency meeting in the US, Justin's people had him on Skype to bosses and he was given a serious talking-to. It was suggested he start staying in more and basically cleaning up his act ... Justin took the news well and has promised to go back to putting his fans first," a source told The Daily Mail.

After the talks, Justin's manager Scooter Braun advised the young pop star to stay "focused" on his Twitter account: "@justinbieber really good talk. #focused. (sic)"

Kanye WestKanye West thinks that his relationship with Kim Kardashian biases people against his rapping.

The "Stronger" hitmaker - who is expecting his first child with the reality TV star - is unhappy MTV's Hip-Hop Brain Trust voted him the seventh Hottest MC in the Game and he feels his ranking would've been higher if it were based solely on his music skills.

"Yeah, number seven bothers me. To me, I feel like in order for them to put me as number seven, they had to bring up things they didn't like. They didn't like the Cruel Summer album, and I'm like, 'That's just [a] compilation.' I don't know, it's definitely not based on a body of work. It possibly could just be like overall rap-MC-swag. What happens is, with these types of things... They don't like 'Givenchy Kanye,' they don't like Kanye in a kilt, they don't like Kanye in a relationship."

However, the "All of the Lights" star doesn't believe he deserved top spot on the list, as he still thinks the world's best rapper is Lil Wayne.

Trent ReznorTrent Reznor thinks modern music is "more fashion than substance." The Nine Inch Nails mastermind says technology makes it easier for people to create their musical ideas, without necessarily having to learn to play an instrument first.

"I don't really care if you can play an instrument or not. I don't think that's a mandatory skill required to make music that can connect with people. I do think computers have made it easy to make lazy music that sounds nice. I find a fair amount of what's championed today feels to me like it falls in that category - much more fashion than substance. There's also a lot of current music I think is great - and as someone pointed out below, The Knife is a good example," he said, writing on Reddit.com.

Trent has recently announced he has put a new live line up for Nine Inch Nails together which will tour over the summer: "The band is reinventing itself from scratch and will be comprised of Eric Avery, Adrian Belew, Alessandro Cortini, Josh Eustis, Ilan Rubin, and me. The first shows will begin this summer, followed by a full-on arena tour of the US this fall, and lots of other dates worldwide to follow through 2014. Lots of details and dates to come. See you soon."

30 Seconds to Mars30 Seconds To Mars have finished their new album.

Singer Jared Leto confirmed the "Beautiful Lie" rockers - also including Shannon Leto and Tomo Milicevic - are putting the finishing touches to their fourth album, but the recording is complete.

"This is the first time I'm really talking about the album, and when you talk about these things it helps you put them into perspective. I just mastered it two days ago, and we're still toying with it, but it's been turned in and it's finished. I wrote and recorded about 70 songs for this album, and I think there's a feeling that all of us in the band have that, especially after touring as long as we did last time, that this is a really important album for us; it's a critical album for us. It's an evolution, this album is more of who we are than we have ever been before, and we've gone to an entirely new place, which is incredibly exciting. And it's provocative at the same time, because changes bring new opportunities, new challenges, a chance to learn."

Carly Rae JepsenCarly Rae Jepsen has pulled out of a Boy Scouts of America concert over its anti-gay policy.

The "Call Me Maybe" hitmaker was due to perform at the organization's summer festival, the National Scout Jamboree, in July, but has cancelled her appearance because the youth organization doesn't allow gay scouts and leaders.

In a statement on her Twitter account, she wrote, "As an artist who believes in equality for all people, I will not be participating in the Boy Scouts of America Jamboree this summer. I always have and will continue to support the LGBT community on a global level and stay informed on the ever changing landscape in the ongoing battle for gay rights in this country and across the globe."

The 26-year-old singer was due to perform at the concert in Mount Hope, West Virginia, along with "Hey, Soul Sister" hitmakers Train, who have also pulled out of the gig after a petition by a gay former boy scout gained support from rights group, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD).

Dave GrohlDave Grohl came close to arranging a collaboration between Weezer and Barry Manilow. The Foo Fighters frontman was keen to forge an unlikely pairing between the "Hash Pipe" rockers and the 69-year-old crooner for a track on his Sound City Studios documentary soundtrack and thinks the song could have been a hit.

"I was this f***ing close to getting them on a record. I thought it was going to happen. It would've been f***ing huge," he said.

The rocker admitted Barry was keen to take part in the project, but proved difficult to track down: "He was the first person who said he'd do it but was the last we tracked down. And we had to fly to f***ing Hawaii."

The documentary threw up several collaborations, including one between Dave, his former Nirvana bandmates Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear, and Paul McCartney.

MorrisseyMorrissey has slammed modern musicians as having "nothing to offer."

The 53-year-old singer believes people are "encouraged not to think" so outspoken or political artists are not able to flourish, and few pop acts are able to work on their own terms.

"The arts have diminished, because we are now living through a time when we are encouraged not to think. No one making music wants to waste time struggling with art. A group like the Sex Pistols would never again be allowed to slip through, and there is no such thing in 2013 as a popular artist who sets their own terms for success. Whether it be Beyonce or Justin Bieber, we see singers who have absolutely nothing to offer anyone as they walk offstage clutching three Grammys in each hand," he said.

The "Panic" hitmaker also hit out at global stars such as Madonna - whom he branded McDonna - and claimed they are not loved by their audiences in the way he is adored by his fans:

Danielle Peazer and Liam PayneLiam Payne could quit One Direction to stay with his girlfriend.

The 19-year-old heart throb "can't stand" being separated from dancer-and-model Danielle Peazer and admitted he would ditch the boy band to save their relationship.

"I can't stand being away from Danielle. If it's between the band and her, I'll choose her," he said.

According to the Daily Star newspaper, Liam wanted to bring his girlfriend with him as the quintet embark on a four-month stint in the US, but record label bosses want One Direction to work as a team without any distractions. A source told the publication the singer gets homesick, and his relationship with Danielle is the deal-breaker - particularly after their original split in September because of his band commitments.

Victoria BeckhamVictoria Beckham has dropped out of the Spice Girls reunion tour. The 90s girl band - also made up of Mel B, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Mel C - were reportedly set to perform a string of concerts in Australia next year and sources had claimed all five members would be involved.

However, Victoria - who has carved out a hugely successful career as a fashion designer - doesn't want to take part and will not be joining them. The mother-of-four's spokesperson told The Sun, "Victoria has no plans to tour with the Spice Girls in 2014. Her future focus concerns her family and fashion business."

However, the four remaining members are still keen to do it and look set to go ahead without Victoria. The girls last performed together as a five-piece at the London 2012 closing ceremony and Mel B said they were keen to go on tour again. "We're always talking about getting together. We always have cups of tea and dinners together. We're all friends at the end of the day," she said.

Before the Olympics the group last performed together in 2008 as part of their comeback tour.

Billie Joe ArmstrongBillie Joe Armstrong was a "functioning alcoholic" before he entered rehab.

The Green Day singer's drinking and reliance on prescription drugs had got out of hand before he was finally admitted to rehab last September and he admits to frequently being intoxicated on stage.

"I played onstage loaded a lot. I'd have anywhere from two to six beers and a couple of shots before I went onstage, then go and play the gig and drink for the rest of the evening on the bus. Fall asleep, wake up the next day, feel like s**t, do soundcheck. It was over and over again. In that way, I was a functioning alcoholic. I've been trying to get sober since 1997, right around Nimrod. But I didn't want to be in any programs. Sometimes, being a drunk, you think you can take on the whole world by yourself," he told Rolling Stone.
